Green card woes - what to do?

This. When I was in this spot for my DH years ago, only my representative’s office was able to help. Keep pestering them. Find out the name of the person who provides these constituent services.

How ridiculous. Staffers are limited and have only so much time. Imagine the multitude of VITAL issues that constituents need help with, not to mention the special interests/lobbying groups who demand attention and are the ones who hold the big bucks.

Somehow an entitled whiner like OP who is badgering them about a green card for their entitled progeny (already with multiple citizenships) and their impending overseas trip would NOT be high on my to-do list. Let's see - I have a choice to work a visa issue for an active duty military member's spouse/child, perhaps with a life-or-death outcome, or see to it that OP's kid can take a vacay.

Yeah, go for it OP. Complain all you want. See how fast they will grey rock you.

OP, I got my green card in 2004. I applied in 2001. There were no issues with any of my information, I have no criminal record or anything that should have held it up. It just took that long post 9/11. While I was waiting I had to have my fingerprints taken 3 times (apparently they expire every year) as well as get another physical every year and a whole other rounds of required shots.

There is literally nothing you can do but wait.
