If your kids can’t play golf, sail or play tennis, and they aren’t social enough to handle a fraternity party, you’ve pretty much slammed the door on them becoming truly wealthy through any route other than a dot-com miracle.

Was trying to make a connection as to why NYU ranks high in ROI (in another list they are #5). I did not attend NYU and neither did oldest DC who attended a top school on this list. Youngest DC considering NYU among many schools, but is way off making a decision.

However NYU is a very popular option at both my DC’s private schools in DC. They hold the most real estate of any university in the US and in the most expensive city.

NYU Grads I have met loved it. On the other hand, I have met quite a few people who attended schools that are much higher ranked who were not happy with their undergrad experiences (Harvard, Yale, Berkeley) . I are just as much about my DC’s mental health and happiness as future earnings.

Columbia owns more properties than NYU. However, NYU is located in the more desirable lower manhattan. NYU students are paying for real estate.

That seems slantwise.

Leah Remini will graduate from NYU. Will they count her salary? She’s already won an Emmy.

As another poster suggested, what does this mean if they accept mostly rich people? If that’s the case, my kid could become wealthy from anywhere graduating from school with more advantages due to wealth.

As for this list: There would just be more rich kids at these schools who remain that way…
