+1000 People just don't understand that vets barely make any kind of money, yet they expect cutting edge trauma and health care for their pets. We are losing vets everyday. |

I hate this subject heading. If you're not willing to pay for your vet's experience and education, don't get a pet.
I've used three vets over the years:. A "value vet" for routine care, a local small practice, and an advanced emergency care practice. In all cases, the vets were caring and compassionate, clearly spelled out options and risks, and remained non judgemental if I chose to delay or decline treatments. I have no idea how much money they make--they deserve a good salary for dealing with sick patients who can't communicate, routinely bite and scratch them, and poop and pee all over the office. |
