What club? What league?

DS, U13. Looking for a club that will play in the fall. Ideally looking for local games just to have fun, get fresh air, keep in shape. Does not need to be competitive. Pulled out of our small club as they have already announced they will not be playing this fall.

A club that is within a 15 minute drive should suffice. Don't make it more complicated than that.

In NW DC. Don't want to name club. They're really suffering and not sure they will make it, but in looking at web sites for other clubs I see that many other clubs have really shrunk the number of teams they offer.

BSC, Potomac down to 2 teams in some age groups. Haven't checked the Virginia teams yet. Anyone know about those?

If at all possible, my best advice based on years of experience with youth soccer is to reach out to any club you might be interested in an ask if your DS can attend some practices. The coach is way more important than the club, and the practice will give you and your son a chance to see if the coach is a good fit and to see if he likes the other boys. Take him to a few practices and see what feels right.

You can at least see how the coach treats the players. If there are going to be games in the fall, practices will move to the next level. Many clubs in Maryland are having regular practices now. Is it Montgomery County that is limiting them?

So stoddert, or DCYFC? If your old team is not playing, you can gab your kids old teammates and form a rec team in Stoddert rec. They let travel kids play. MSI is also an option but you will be driving. Same with the VA clubs. There are also some futsal clubs who are planning on playing outside. The thing is it is not looking good for the fall.

Not sure how far from McLean you are, or Arlington.

Is PPA playing this fall? They have different levels to check on. And you can also bring your own team if you prefer.
