Given today’s overwhelming anti-racist sentiment in the community, should Lee Mount Vernon Sports Club (LMVSC) follow others and change their Name?

There is a thread on this, and it was very upsetting to see so many of our community members dog their heels in. And yet nobody was able to actually defend the position of even keeping “Lee” in the name. And I’m happy it’s been brought up again.

Yes, but also rename Lee District, Lee HS and Lee Chang.

Personally I don’t particularly care, though I’ve always found the Lee to be superfluous. Mt. Vernon Soccer Club rolls off the tongue a lot better

Yes and Lee HS is being renamed. Just call Lee Chang Julian and that fixes that.
