Let’s leave Covid out of this.
Where would you spend your money? Cost for these is the SAME. Boys are 3.5 and 5. I’m a SAHM. 1. Pool membership for the remainder of the summer. We get a few hours a week, maybe more if it’s not busy. My boys can not independently swim but they love the pool. We can practice their lost swimming skills that we spent so much money on. They like the pool and have been missing it. I like the pool also. 2. 1 more week of camp, 8am-3pm. They are there this week and LOVE it. I’m FREE all day! I’m pregnant so this is nice. They also sleep 13 hours at night after camp. I get them home, shower, dinner, bed. Socialization, away from home, etc. |
Pool membership, and can you swing some babysitting days for someone else to take them and give you a free day?
What's the comparison on just paying day rates to go to the pool? If you did one pool day per week at day rates, woild that be less than the membership and give you the money to hire some babysitting days? I think the days off are super important for you, but I think they'd be better spread out over the coming weeks than one single week of camp. |
The pool is worth so much more than one week of camp! |
Pool membership. No doubt. |
+1. Also, your kids loved camp this week. No guarantee at all they’d still like it or enjoy as much the next week. |
No day rate available. |
Pool |
Pool, hands down. |
While the extra week of alone time sounds heavenly, the pool seems like the better option. |
If you weren't pregnant I'd say pool. But give yourself the gift of another week of camp.
|
Camp, all you have to do is drop off. |
I would do both. Camp during the day, then pool in the evening and weekends. |
100% camp. |
Pool |
Pool. It will give you weeks of physical exercise for the kids which means calmer house and easier bedtime! Camp only gives you a week. |
