What is your favorite butter? |
Irish Kerrygold, salted. The best. We tried various butters from the farmers market that were nice, but none as good as Kerrygold. |
Plugra
Vermont Creamery Kerry Gold |
+ 1 on Kerrygold. Also Amul butter. Kerrygold tastes like Amul. |
Another vote for Kerry gold |
Kerrygold. Tip: Last year around St Patrick’s Day Aldi had cheap Kerrygold butter. Not knockoff, the actual brand name product. |
Miyoko’s
Kerrygold when I could eat dairy. |
Beurre d'Isigny from Isigny Ste. Mere
Or Organic Valley salted or pasture butter |
Kerrygold for sure! |
Le President, but usually get Kerrygold because it’s easier to find. |
Kerrygold. We stock up at Costco. |
Costco is usually a good deal as well. I also like plugra and the cultured butter from Trader Joes |
Ready to get mocked: homemade is my favorite. I don't do it all the time, but when I do? Yum. |
I make homemade butter sometimes. It's fun and delicious. I drink all the buttermilk too. Yum. |

During the darkest days of the lockdown I found a couple of unopened cartons of sour cream and substituted them for water or whole milk or buttermilk in my bread-making machine. I ended up with "instant sourdough bread." instant = no sourdough starter The experimental bread resulting is more dense than usual but the taste cannot be distinguished from artisan sourdough bread. |
