Metro United and Portland Thorns

This one makes no sense to me. Metro United "partnering" with NWSL's Portland Thorns.

This sounds really cool. This team is always thinking and trying. I love it. Good for them! They will continue to grow as an organization if they keep this mindset and ignore the haters and no I do not have a kid at this club.

Not a coach. Have child on another team but unlike so many haters, I admire the resolve of this team. Why do so many people want to see them fail. Grow up.

Thanks person this has no affect on but has to criticize for no apparent reason.

maybe Metro feels like it lost its competitive advantage when it lost the Spirit partnership. Not sure how this does anything though.

I don’t think anyone but the two clubs know how this is going to work. But, you also don’t have to worry about it either.

Why are parents so mean. Really I am just so tired of this. I have wondered who are the parents who run other teams/kids down. What is wrong with you? Do you get that most kids terminal soccer experience will be high school and maybe college if they really want to figure out who to manage sports/studies? Almost no one will be a pro and even less on World Cup. Is it not possible to be supportive? My dd has even noticed this asked me why the parents are worse than the kids. No wonder we have the problems we do in this world.

Exactly.

It’s not enough that someone is happy with their kids team, club, league, they have to get absolutely tribal about their choice and impose it on others. And if you choose another team, club, league then it becomes their mission to tear it down. Imagine acting this way because someone choose to go to Burger King instead of McDonalds?

If a club does something that your club doesn’t do then it must immediately be mocked as stupid.

+ 1 million to the above 2 posts. There’s enough hate in this world. Let’s start being kind to each other......we’re actually all the same sharing the soccer experience because of our DC.
