No, I don't think Hilaria would have ever admitted to using a surrogate if she wasn't forced into it. It's obvious now that she's used surrogates before and yet, she is still trying to pretend that she hasn't.

My thoughts exactly. I find it problematic when people complain that she hired a POC as a surrogate, as though surrogacy is inherently exploitative. It may be, depending on the circumstances, but I wouldn't feel more comforted if Hilaria had hired white woman. In fact I would find it creepy if she only considered white candidates.

The issue isn't that she hired someone, or failed to thank them, or that they are a historically oppressed minority. The issue is that she represented herself as an aspirational fitness figure for postpartum women when she wasn't actually postpartum and her body was unrealistic for a woman who had just given birth. And by doing so, she set up unattainable beauty standards for vulnerable postpartum women.

I never thought of it this way (as bolder above), but as I read it I see how crystal clear and true this is. You are so right. There is no way that hilaria would have admitted to using a surrogate. In fact she is not even clear nor direct about the fact that her most recent baby is from a surrogate. Eek, no proof here of course, but it just feels true that she has probs used a surrogate before. Wow. If this is true then she is truly yikes and in a danger level of unwell in regards to her inability to be truthful.

She really does deserve all the negative attention she has coming at her. And no, it’s not coming at her because people are jealous or just out to get her. It’s because I think she just might really be still lying in pretty egregious ways to the entire public. Yikes

When you look at it from this perspective the whole recent thing of her not coming up yes with the right "story" to explain the little baby girl's arrival makes so more sense.

She can't figure out how to explain it, and has never directly acknowledged using a surrogate (it's always been through "inside sources" and weird allusions), because acknowledging a surrogate would bring on so many more questions. If the girl was born in February, then the surrogate got pregnant, what, May or June? IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC????? How did they arrange that? When did she do an egg transfer if she was pregnant with the boy? How were they able to do all the contracts etc so quickly after finding out he was a boy, to be able to order up a girl?

This would mean she had to have done the retrieval sometime 2019. Was it even legal then to use a surrogate in ny? I truly don’t know. Suddenly I too am wondering how many of her kids were actually born by her. It’s actually pretty easily to find believable the idea that multiples were by surrogate, and absolutely no problem with that. That is clearly a private choice.

Issue here is really with the espoused pregnancies on her part then. Still the idea of possibly a fake belly and weaving a narrative that she carried. Eek. That’s where I lose it.

It’s too much. This story is clearly not over. So much deception, cover up and manipulation. Hilaria is constantly trying to control how she is perceived.

OH MY GAWD. I have never seen this video in slo-mo before and I am very reluctant to believe the insane that is the possibility of this woman faking pregnancies, but there is clearly something very off with the situation in this video. It straight up looks like her belly and behind are bean filled pillow sacks or something. What is that ledge at the top of her behind that keeps rising up like that. And why is her abdomen deflating and folding over so much!? Is she not in pain with the baby hitting into her ribcage. I am so confused. Something is not right!

I think the ledge is the top of the belly body suit. I usually think the fake pregnancy rumors are ridiculous but there is no explanation that can make that video make sense. I’m a petite woman as well so can get that sometimes pregnancy can look a little different but at no point did my belly turn into a pillow.

That video is so weird and hard to make sense of other reasons for the squish. She profits off a being an extremely fit woman with a lot of children who "bounces back" immediately after giving birth so she exercises constantly and does whatever she needs to do to keep up this image in order to protect her "business". Sounds plausible. Sometimes people who use surrogates wear silicon bellies to hide surrogacy. Saying that though, I tend to think that if the others were born via surrogates, she would have had another girl a lot sooner because we all know how much she needed to give Carmen a sister. If, however, you believe everything Hillary told you would know her as a brown, immigrant from Spain, who came NY at 19 and had parents who couldn't pronounce the name Baldwin so she needed to pronounce it for them several times.

She is not a bad person, but a deeply uncomfortable in her own skin one who is struggling with some mental/emotional challenges that manifest in these weird ways. I don't know why anyone close to her doesn't try to keep her off social media for her own health and sanity. Alec has anger management issues and aligns himself with creeps like Cuomo so he wouldn't be much help.

I think it could also be possible that there is a mix here of surrogate use coverups and self-carry. Maybe she has had a surrogate carry more than once, but not for all. If so, it is the public demonstration of covering up and faking the pregnancy that would be disturbing here, not at all the use of surrogate. One could also use surrogate, not share but also not make a huge deal of showing photos and videos of false pregnancy progress.

That video was genuinely disturbing! There is no valid reason to push your baby's head into your breast, film it, and post on the internet as though the baby did it. Yeah I guess like the Spanish thing it could be a tiny bit of truth mixed in with a whole lotta lie.
It's weird though because wouldn't they have then had a girl much sooner if they were already doing IVF for a surrogate? But I guess the pathological liar could have been lying about that too (Carmen wanted a sister!) and it could have just been an act to give them an excuse to keep ordering up more babies. Maybe she wanted to have her own set of "Baldwin Brothers 2.0" and that's really what that was all about.

I honestly wouldn't put it beyond her, she is clearly mentally disturbed and a pathological liar. And we can all see she does not actually enjoy motherhood and actual not-for-the-Gram parenting—that poor kid has been wearing pajamas for like three years now! She seems to resent her children, especially the little surrogate girl they ordered up while she was (supposedly, I guess!!!) already pregnant. But she loooooooved the attention she got from being "pregnant and fit" and then her miraculous postpartum body that got her on talk shows and magazine covers. Beyond that the kids are just Instagram props for her.

She claims to live "authentically" yet almost everything she posts on IG is heavily photoshopped and filtered. Candid pap shots of her demonstrate that she has short legs, but her own pics are lengthened to completely change her body shape. Absolutely nothing about her is honest or genuine. I certainly would not be shocked if she faked one or more of her pregnancies. As far as I know there are no candid shots of her with a (bare) pregnant belly - they were all taken by her and heavily filtered, so anything could be possible.

Her body has changed a lot since she first met Alec. She is much thinner now. It's possible to photoshop and still have disordered eating habits.

These surrogacy posts remind me of what happened when #6 was born. Someone shared here that the surrogacy congratulated H and A on the birth of their daughter M by carrier B, but then when H & A announced baby's name they called her Lucia so some wondered if that story was accurate. I'd like to think she learned her lesson from the Spanish thing, but given that H calls her MariLu now, it's obvious she tries, albeit not well, to cover her lies/grift.
