What piece of scripture is your personal motto/guide? I’m thinking of something like “Be strong and courageous” or “Your words are a light to my feet and a lamp unto my path.”
Our pastor asked us to choose one, write it down multiple times, and give emphasis to different words to see how it changes it. Just looking for inspiration here .... |

Micah 6:8. "What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
It is the basis of my favorite hymn "We Are Called" We are called to act with justice We are called to love tenderly We are called to serve one another To walk humbly with God |
| “Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.” – Psalms 137:9 |

I have had a tendency to worry since I was a child. I have several scriptures that I love. This is one that always encourages me.
Isaiah 46:4 (NIV) Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. I like it because it makes me remember all the times God has helped me. It shows that God has been there and will always be there for me. I'm not alone and if things get so bad that I need to be rescued He is willing and able. |

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you”
This verse always gives me a feeling of love, support, and faith in God who is there for us. |
| You reap what you sow |
| This too shall pass. |
I think this one isn't a verse in the Bible but rather something someone came up with, no? |
| The Lord is my shepherd. This stops me in my tracks. |
| Thank you! I really like (almost!) all of these. OP |

"slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling" (Ephesians 6:5)
"tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect" (Titus 2:9). |

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:23-26
—— This is why any Christian who votes for the pro-wealthy agenda of tax cuts for billionaires is a hypocrite. And going to Hell. (Despite the lies that prosperity gospel preachers use to explain away these words of Jesus which are inconvenient to their profits.) |
| James 1:19-20 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. |

“Let your light shine so brightly that others can see their way out of the dark.” – Unknown
“Your greatest test is when you are able to bless someone else while you are going through your own storm.” – Unknown No one is going to hell. Hell is where we currently live. For now but soon ... |

Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
As a teenager who was a big worrier, I can remember sitting in church one Sunday when this was the scripture and it hit me very powerfully and really changed my mindset. |
