"The Lord is my shepherd...." Just hearing those five words creates a stirring feeling.

Isaiah 46:4 (NIV) Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

I like it because it makes me remember all the times God has helped me. It shows that God has been there and will always be there for me. I'm not alone and if things get so bad that I need to be rescued He is willing and able.

I like this Jewish commentary on that verse.
