Is Gunston & LMVSC merging?

Just saw a social media post of Gunston and LMVSC partnering for a food drive. Is this LMVSC and Gunston collaboration part of a bigger plan? Should Gunston and LMvSC have merger talks? What do you people think?

I’m a little curious why we’re told how much our club believes in their players and their academy. Why would we need to merge? I know several teammates on DC teams not coming back.

Not that a combined food drive means anything, but LMVSC and Gunston should have merged years ago!

With Vicky Hall leaving I could see that happening. Both teams lack some depth and merging to get some strong teams across the squads would be a benefit for players and parents. The better players are leaving or have left to SYC or Alexandria...we are leaving also.

If better players are leaving, how does this bring about better teams? LMVSC has already promised us that the academy is what brings about better players and teams. More kids means less individual attention from the coach. They promised us more individual attention.

We lost plenty as well. Then again, we only had one team in the age group and there’s not even a team in the older age group.

The drop off between red and white is a large gap? Not from what I have seen, at least at the younger age groups.

nervous? I am would be pro-merger and would welcome the depth. I would probably not leave if there were players to challenge my own. Sounds like a white team parent (now red)...lol

Um, PP here, not staff. Weird that you would assume I was staff simply because I shared my experience. FWIW, I am a parent of a boy, maybe that’s the difference? I know nothing about LMVSC girls teams.

Oh okay, sorry you seemed to be very supportive of a program that has two teams (and only one in CCL, with only one win) for those three age groups. DD is, was, in one of these. But yeah the academy is going to make DD a good citizen, just nothing about her intent to play in college. Hope it works out for DS.
