Why do these Trump/Barr troops refuse to identify themselves?

They’ve taken off insignia. They seem afraid or embarrassed to let people know who they are — almost as if they know the whole District and majority of the country finds them to be sad wanna-be authoritarians, indoctrinated by Facebook’s rightwing propaganda and Fox and talk radio.

The mayor wants them out. She should be the governor of a state — and then Trump couldn’t invade our city.

Actually I doubt it would make a difference if DC were a state - the District of Columbia is required by the US Constitution but its boundaries are not.

So if DC were to become a state it would happen with "the District of Columbia" being shrunken dramatically and being surrounded by the state.

That small district would almost certainly include the White House and the streets around it.

Real DC residents, like myself, are actually aware that the biggest obstacle to our nights is the stupid helicopters Barr arranged to circle all night.
