You can’t just randomly butt-dial on Signal. At the very least, this shows that someone in the chat has/had Goldberg in their contacts list.

The leak happened already, the journalist was the recipient of the leak. The information was shared on
non-DoD phones via an app explicitly banned for use by DoD. They are saying that nothing was classified, so he will just be sharing some texts between friends that he was sent.
