Why did trump talk so slowly and quietly? Is this from the bullet to his ear or just his aged state?

The most effective speakers I thought were the black Dallas mayor who switched from Dem to Republican when the mob harassed his family because he wouldn’t agree to defund the police

and the lady teacher who was formerly a correctional officer and said she had never voted Republican in her life but was going to this time because she was assaulted by students in the school and the administration did nothing about it

This is what I think the Democrats have been waiting (too long IMO) for America to discover. This isn’t the Trump even of 2020 and definitely not of 2016. Of course people on political message boards know that Trump isn’t close to what he once was, but John and Jane Regular American Voter most certainly do not.
