Undeniable attraction between myself and a gentleman down the street but it's always been kept well in check. I'm happily married and haven't had feelings for anyone else in 20 years but we shared a brief kiss when I went to his house to pick up some gear my husband had left there. Wasn't even in the house. Just the backyard. Won't be picking up stuff alone again, I guess. And Christ, during a Pandemic. Ugh.
Anyone else, just had a 60-second moment of weakness and moved on? We all make mistakes? |
| You suck. Move on. |
| Of course it’s cheating. |
|
How did you end up kissing, OP, if you both kept your emotions in check? No judgement from me. I have a crush too
|
| Yes, it's totally cheating. |
|
Dont tell your husband. Move on. Stay away.
But yeah, it's cheating. But it could get so much worse, so stay. away. |
|
It doesn't matter what we think. It matters what your husband would think.
If I were him, I'd rather not know. Don't do it again, and don't put yourself in a position where you could do it again. |
| Would you tell your husband about it? I think it depends on the rules in your own relationship. This wouldn't be cheating in my relationship, but I also wouldn't keep it from my husband. |
|
11:37: I think the general unmoored feeling the Pandemic is causing
11:38: Yep. I agree. Stay away indeed! My husband can take two trips next time. |
| Yes. A lot of people consider emotional talking cheating. So of course a physical kiss is cheating |
|
Dua Lipa said it best. |
| HAA! Nice. |
The emotional affair clearly started well before the kiss. You've been cheating since it began. |
| No, we don't all make mistakes kissing someone other than our spouse. You definitely sent your neighbor a signal that will be hard to turn off unilaterally. |
|
My neighbor/friend's husband asked me for a kiss once (when she was out of town).
I was shocked. He said he was just curious. I said no, and never told her. They later got divorced...because SHE had lost interest in him. Now I wonder if he was sad/feeling rejected. Either way, I did not need to get into the middle of their rat's nest. |
