| We bought the dark chocolate mix, used melted Irish butter in place of the called for veg oil (I think this is key). Everyone loved them! We'll have to try the double chocolate and triple fudge varieties some time in the future. |
| I also tried it out because of the dcum endorsement. I chilled in fridge to amp up chewy factor. Just bought 2 more boxes yesterday! Thanks all. |
Chilled in the fridge made them so much better! |
| Ohhhh butter. Good idea. |
| I love this mix but have not tried these tricks! Time to buy more... |
| triple chocolate is my favorite but double will do in a pinch. |
What's the diff? |
| Are there any other tricks with this mix. I've used it for a long time and am bored. I've never tried anything other than the cream cheese addition. |
After they're cooked -- or did you mean chilling the batter before cooking? |
After cooking. We liked them better chilled. Makes them chewy in a good way. |
| I just store mine in the freezer. Not ghirardelli, but chilling definely ups the fudge factor and allows you to cut cleanly too. |
|
Haven't tried it yet myself, but a friend substitutes coconut oil for the vegetable oil and says that it is delicious.

They are really good with vanilla frosting on top or just spread PB. It’s actually the only way I liked frosting from a can.
I always make them double thick, too. So good. |
| If you want to make them healthier and eat less of them, add a can of black beans (drained) |
Double is brownie mix and a fudge packet. Triple is that plus chocolate chips. |
