Yes. Substitute the water it calls for with coffee (I just use what’s left in the pot from that morning) or red wine. Deepens the chocolate flavor.

You might not want to know this but one cup of mix plus one egg plus a splash of vanilla extract makes two chocolate waffles - in about 5 minutes. These are particularly good with a few strawberries and vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Oops: plus one pat of melted butter , stirred into the mixture.

But just because it is DCUM, you must have meant *fewer* of them.

I love this style! My kids don’t like them that way but adults really love the nuanced umami brownie.

The dark chocolate already has chips in the bag. I think dark is our fav.
