Which Clubs are offering No Pay No Play?

How much is 'at risk' at your club if there is no season?

Trying to guage what the different club policies are at this point and which clubs might be more viable based on their policy. Please name the club if possible.

Thanks for any insight.

That would be interesting, because that would obviously mean the coaches have made the commitment not to get paid if there is no play.

not necessarily--could be a different level of risk at one club vs. another. So, some clubs may require heafty registration fees that are not refunded, but no other fees if play doesn't start. In that case perhaps $400 registration is at risk but the rest not.

In other places, it may be that the whole thing is at risk as there is no guarantee from the club that what they pay from now through September will be refunded.

Or in other cases perhaps $0 at risk as they are guaranteeing a refund of any funds paid if there is no pay.

Pipeline is refunding deposits if no play at all next year, and not charging monthly fees until kids are on the field.

Our club is doing an online auction for position and team.

How does that math work? The question was whether clubs offer a no play, no pay guarantee. That means no fees unless playing occurs. If the club takes in no revenues in the event of no play, how are nonprofits paying coaches? So if you commit as coach, aren't you committing to the risk of not getting paid? I understand you could have upfront variations, but how does the nonprofit refund everything if they've already paid coaches?

That is one hell of a good idea. If you're gonna do pay to play, lets go all the way.

That is TOTALLY not true. You must not have read the fine print.

You must pay $800 upfront--prior to 9/1. Though you don't have to pay any further if soccer is postponed.

You are right. How sneaky of them. I guess if the season gets cancelled and they keep $800, there will be a lot of pissed off parents and the club will take a big hit next time they have to extend offers.
