Shocked how many people are looking at new cars!

I’m sitting outside at the dealership while some service is done on my car so that I don’t need to keep my mask on. I am shocked how many people are pulling up (at 3pm on a Tuesday!) to shop for a new car! I thought the economy is in the crapper?

We just bought a car. My DH is still getting paid. It’s actually a great time to buy.

There is a lot of money floating around. Where my boyfriend works business is up 35%.

All the people who meant to shop for a new car while things were closed are now coming out to shop. It likely seems like a lot of people because they're all showing up at once, but it's still way less people than would have bought a car in normal times over that period and total car sales are still down.

People are making more on unemployment than on their jobs. The extra $800 per week on unemployment is an amazing figure for most people.

Walmart is selling a ton of big screen tvs. A lot of the stimulus money went to big screen tvs.

0% interest rates for 15-18 months at multiple dealers. Why wouldn't people buy now? If you still have a job and your industry is good - its the perfect time.

We bought a second car recently (used) - zero percent financing. I'm still employed and I will have to go back to the office eventually. No way am I getting on the crowded germ factory that is the Metro again.

Leases all have to end at some point. Didn't predict they would end during a pandemic, but here we are!

When you need a new car you need a new car. My parents buy new cars every 10 years. They pay cash. They bought my dad a new truck in early March .
