For now.

Not everyone is affected by this 'crisis'. My industry is going bananas.

Exactly; I'm in the healthcare industry so it's been nothing but business as usual for me.

And even with that, some of those people can't afford a car and definitely not a brand new one. Hell they're the same ones that probably have every reason why they can't pay their rent yet have money to purchase a car....pre and post covid

I was going to wait until the end of the year but I got 0% financing for 6 years. I decided I might as well take advantage of it.

There is going to be a TON of work in foreclosures and evictions in the next 6 months.

I might buy one. The financing is really good right now. I am driving a 2004 and not enjoying it lately- it is starting to feel unsafe. And by the time this is all over, I will still need a car and the good financing offers will have expired.

I would take precautions with any car I buy.

Tesla dropped their prices by $2k today. My mother is off to get a Model 3 tomorrow.

My car had an issue that would have cost $3K. DH has been wanting a specific car for awhile. Between deals and a trade in value for my car (they will scrap it) we got a great price on the car he wanted. I love his car so was happy to take it. Financially, it wasn't that crazy to get the new car vs fixing my car (my car was also due for a very expensive service this summer)

DH and I both work in industries that are stable throughout all of this

Tried to buy a new car last Fall but the dealer didn’t want to give us much on the trade-in. Bought last weekend, we got full KBB value on the trade-in and 0% financing four six years. Much better deal now.
