Name your kid’s club and:
a) did your club give a refund for spring and if so, how much b) is your club requiring a deposit/payment for fall already, how much, and do they have a refund clause? Here’s my kid’s: Loudoun a) Not for travel b) not requiring payment yet. |
Not Loudoun a) no refund for DA/ECNL level, 10% refund for classic & challenge b) yes, payments in installments |

SAC and Armour
a) No refunds, but club stopped charging monthly assessments. Any overages will be applied as a credit to '20/'21 season if kids stay at the club, if kids leave the club money is forfeited. b) Other than announcing coaches and leagues for Armour and that credits will carry to next season they haven't addressed '20/'21 fees/signup. Kids are pretty much guaranteed a spot on their current team for '20/'21 season. https://www.sackick.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Travel-Letter-April-2020.pdf |
At least they stopped charging monthly |
Some legal questions: (1) Is it legal to hold onto the fees and transfer them as a credit to the next season, instead of offering a refund? Doesn't this mean that SAC is collecting interest on your money? If you got a refund, you could put that money in the bank and collect interest for yourself, right (2) Is it legal to require families to forfeit their money if they decide to go to another club or <gasp> drop out of travel altogether? Seems like extortion to "force" players to stay with SAC for an additional season or else theyre out hundreds (or thousands) of dollars. |

| Alexandria, no answer on refunds yet, can take whatever it will be as a credit to carry forward to fall if it happens. |
