APS - appointment of superintendent tonight?

Is that right? I guess I still don't realize it's May.

What did you think of CJ's note about not even applying for the position? I don't blame her. APS is an s-show and we don't appreciate the admins at all. I liked her though and thought that she would make rational decisions.

Who is the new superintendent? They are not really going to just spring the new sup on everyone tonight - are they?

She never planned to. She stepped up (out of retirement, I think I heard), just to fill the gap.

Yes, what else would they do? Put the final decision up for a public vote?

That's not what I was asking, just confirming that tonight was the actual announcement since it snuck up on me.

I don't know why anyone would want that job right now! I actually like APS quite a bit compared to other school systems where I have worked but I would not want to be in school leadership with everything going on.

I certainly hope our kids don’t need home learning next fall.

Well, Van Doren stuck her foot in her mouth again, by saying that she specifically considered whether Duran was a better choice than Johnson would have been, rather than simply thank Johnson. What an idiot!

“This is the best that we could do in this time of crisis.”

Speaking of foot in mouth moments.

They do sound stupid. All they heeded to say was that he is the best candidate.
