| But man, I wish I could get one. We have two cats and a dog (in a good sized house). I desperately want a kitten, but DH is a hard no. Three cats is too many, right? |
| I loved having three cats. It was just funny to see them all line up for food. |
| Are they indoor cats? |
| It depends on the size of your house. We had 3 cats in a tiny apartment and it was too many (moved from a larger apartment), especially when they were younger. Now that they're older (11-13) they're all lazy and snuggle us in different parts of the house and it's great. The litter box and food are out of the way in the basement. I love the idea of getting a kitten or puppy right now. |
| Ugh, no. Cats are disgusting. |
| We have 2 cats and a dog and I want a kitten too. I’m working on it! |
^Seconded. |

If the cats are vax'd, spayed/neutered, anti-parasite and anti-worm treated, and indoor-only, and if you keep the box(es) very clean and keep very fresh food and water out, then multiple cats is zero issue. They're lovely. There's no down-side. And you ARE saving a little life.

| Aww kitty, so cute and will bring some joy. What shall we name her? |
The trick is to get a third cat of a color of one of the two. The husband WILL NEVER notice! Just make sure they won't come to eat at the same time...
|
Quarentina! |
| Hear hear! |
| Just get the kitten! You could name him or her some variation of Corona... Cora? Corrie? |
|
A third cat does not make the difference in the kitty litter or food purchase or daily clean up.
A third cat brings more fun and changes the dynamic of the animal family and there is about ten times hilarity going on with three cats. |
| Oh, and don't tell people you have three cats, they will think you are crazy cat lady when you are not. When you tell or they ask tell them - two hahahah... |
