| I know that healthy people should not complain but I am just adding it to the list, prom, graduation, internship, fr orientation... |
| That's a real bummer. I think it is perfectly acceptable to be disappointed/sad/pissed off at this entire f-ed up situation. It really sucks for these kids to have so many events and milestones cancelled. I will say that orientation isn't really that important and they will more than make up for it once they arrive on campus for classes. Still, I get that it all adds up and is just one more thing... |
| Prepare yourself for the fact that many other events will be cancelled in the fall too. |
This. I would expect most schools to be distance learning in the fall. |
| Summer is not happening. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the fall. |
| Fall will not happen. Superintendent of Maryland Public schools has already pretty much announced school will not resume in the fall so college definitely won’t. |
Ugh. I have one who is supposed to start grad school in the fall (clinical psych) at UMD and one who is starting as a freshman. I really have no idea how grad school online would like. I’m less worried about my freshman. |

| How will colleges survive losing so much income from housing and food? |
Uh, that’s not what she said, at all. |
Please. Its not even healthy people. Look at those folks lining up for hours for social security pay outs and food banks. And the old people who cannot get outside who have been eating Dominos for a month. Get some perspective lady. |
+1 Why do people twist things into a different narrative. It's called contingency planning people! |
Try to be more understanding. It is possible to be aware that some people have it much worse while also feeling sad for your kid. |
