WTF Decor in Kalorama

I am generally open to a lot of design styles but this is truly hideous. Does anyone know who is the "renown international designer" (sic)??

Are the lanterns because the driftwood doesn't light up?

Would you not hit your head on these lights??

Thank god they added the pedestals or this room would not be "high end."

The light fixture makes it "young." The bare floors make it "stupid."

The renown designer has cleverly added architectural interest to the walls.

Plaid: ur doing it wrong

A womb chair was very bad and it was sent to this hell. The Chair Devil is wearing the hats I assume.

I will have to agree it’s the OP. It just looks bad.

I'm getting Hillwood with a modern flair!

What is with the bedroom walls?

Ha! For a second I thought it was the group house I lived in back in 1991. It’s close, but not the house.

This may be on Kalorama Road, but this house is not in Kalorama as the title of this thread states. This is straight up Adams Morgan. The Kalorama neighborhood is on the other side of Connecticut.

No, you're confused. Probably your brain was scrambled by the entryway wallpaper.

It’s amazing how it manages to be so monochromatic and yet so busy at the same time. I especially love the camouflaged couch in the entry way.

Quite a feat. I like the way they pulled together all kinds of textures, patterns and styles and tried to get them to work, but it didn't!

This house is not in Kalorama. It’s on the east side of Columbia Road, thus making it in Adams Morgan:

The Kalorama area within the Northwest Quadrant of Washington, D.C. includes the residential neighborhoods of Kalorama Triangle and Sheridan-Kalorama. The area is accessible from the Dupont Circle and Woodley Park Metro stations, as well as various bus lines. Kalorama Triangle is bordered by Connecticut Avenue, Columbia Road, Calvert Street, and Rock Creek Park. Sheridan-Kalorama is adjacent, to the southwest, between Connecticut Avenue, Rock Creek Park, Massachusetts Avenue, and Florida Avenue.
