Chamber pot? Interesting that empty glass on the floor in the dining area. Clean up, in aisle 7 when someone walks into it. |
Nope, this is kalorama. Kalorama square not rd. I used to live around the corner. This is an 80s or 90s development backing to Mitchell park. It’s a great location w/ an underground parking garage. The houses are actually really well proportioned inside, and there’s a little pool in the middle of them. |
Again wrong. This is kalorama square not road. It’s in between CT and Mass and r, smack in the middle of kalorama, touching Mitchell parcel. |
A bit busy and cluttered, but it's fine. Middle aged divorced woman, I am thinking. Trying to recreate a certain style/look but falling a bit short. Virtually everything individually is pleasant to the eye and good quality but collectively it's missing something to truly pull it off. Lack of carpets is odd. Hardly terrible or WTF. I've seen far worse. |
I like the kitchen/dining room just fine, but I've never seen beige look so busy! |
SO.MANY.CHAIRS
It's like the designer took every chair they had and vomited them into this house. |
OMG I can't believe someone thinks this house is fab.

Oh my god...what's wrong with you guys to quibble over such silly details. Does being in Kalorama or not make is less/more vexing to view? |
I love some of the rooms, but some are in the maximalist style that is in right now among high-end designers. It's not my taste, but it's still well done. |
For a recent designer in Kalorama-ish this is most definitely WTF were they on? |
You clearly don't know many rich people. This is typical of a decorated rich woman's house. They're not designing for you, they're designing for their class. |
Yes, Kalorama Triangle. I have a friend who lives there. She always corrects me. Funny b/c she paid $3M for the house that isn't even in Kalorama and has no garage. |
Sorry, but that's a very meticulous analysis of the house. I really appreciate the before and after photos. At first I thought the decor was fussy. But then I realized it would be very fun to have a large party in this house. Never a dull moment, plenty of seating, plenty of conversation starters. Also, I think the new kitchen is gorgeous. I don't like the low hanging pendants over the counters, but otherwise its flawless. |
So when you sell a house like this, do some things convey? Imean if you like the wallpaper in the foyer, wouldn't you want the couch, too?
Or at this price point are you throwing it all out and starting over with another "renown" designer? |
