| Montessori waitlists are way shorter with LAMB entering the MSDC lottery. I mean SSMA has 1 kid on their PK3 list. |
| Cap City Lower school's WLs are way shorter than in the past. |
| Wow, SSMA has a pk3 waitlist of one kid. |
| Seems like CMI has, again, a shorter waitlist than it did the prior year. |
| It seems like all the waitlists are much shorter. LAMB effect or less kids in DC this year? |
| Harmony had another bad year too. |
| Actually it seems like a lot of HRCS have slightly shorter lists... wonder why. |
| LAMB actually offered a meaningful number of PK4 and K seats. |
I think it's a combination of people putting LAMB on their common lottery lists (sometimes/often using 2 slots for it) and the additional seats at MV8 actually cascading through the system in a meaningful way. |
Real estate prices. Fewer young Federal worker type families can afford 3-bedroom houses downtown with each passing year. |
| Every year some of the less desirable schools improve a bit too. More people holding out for top choices. less settling for meh schools and meh commutes. |
I think it's also that DCPS schools are becoming more attractive... so while HRCS waitlists may be going down, a lot of DCPS neighborhood schools' waitlists seem to be getting longer... |
| No waitlists for SJS or the Montessori middle school. |
| Two Rivers is considerably shorter as well. |
