Good Value Outdoor Furniture - Costco, Wayfair?, Ikea?!

Anonymous
First time buying outdoor furniture for a new deck. Outside of "Sunbrella" have no clue where to start.

Looking for a sofa set + dining set.

Prefer something in the mid-range as far as prices. Costco is definitely attractive with their return policy. A bit wary of Wayfair and had no clue Ikea even sold outdoor stuff!

Thoughts on where to buy?

Lowes and Home Depot have this. Also, some sets at Kohls as well as Target.

I’ve had good luck at Lowe’s and Walmart.

You can sometimes find a high quality set on craigslist

We recently bought a cute one from Target. It wasn’t cheap and it’s junk. Literally falling apart already.

Hampton Bay line from Home Depot - it's quite nice.

We bought a set from Pier 1 when we moved 8 years ago and all the pieces are still great, have replaced the cushions twice

I got some Polywood stuff and absolutely love it. Cleans up great and after several years outdoors and uncovered still looks brand new.

+1,000

We got a nice teak set with some damage to one or two chairs (~$4,000 new) for free a few years ago. Just look opportunistically and be ready to pounce on it quickly if you see something you like.

Once you find what you want on a site be sure to price shop it. Today I ordered some storage sheds for our backyard. I found what I wanted at Home Depot and was all set to order when I randomly decided to type the brand and item number into Google. I found the same sheds for a lot less, with free delivery, from Wayfair. So that's where I ordered from. I get them a week earlier AND they are being delivered to the house instead of having to pick them up at the store. Score!

Agree. I found Costco online to have the best prices out of Wayfair, HD, and Lowes. All the same brand and style, sometimes under a different style name, but otherwise exact same piece.

Well, rats. Costco didn't even come up for the search. I'll be sure to check it out next time. Thanks, PP!
