I find the HD and Lowes stuff absolute garbage. You need a quality set to survive the elements, unless this is in a screened porch. Costco I've found is the best.

I had to throw away the stuff from Lowes after 2 seasons.

IMO not worth going cheap on.

We bought a set from target and love it. It’s only two years old but so far it looks good as new and is comfortable and cute. We also got a small dining table from ikea and it’s doing ok but I don’t think will last nearly as long.

OP here - thanks all!

From research, I've found that steel is likely a no go - more likely to rust. And yes, we have an exposed deck so would want something that stands up to the elements.

Leaning towards Costco esp given their return policy.

Could folks post links to things they would recommend?

We ordered a three piece Adirondack set (two chairs and a table) from Costco. It is made ofpolywood, so it will withstand the elements.https://www.costco.com/portside-3-piece-shellback-adirondack-set.product.100381923.html

OP here, thanks all! For now we bought this:

This will be our seating option while we get our sofa and dining table. Then we will move this to the patio.

Costco sets are kind of mediocre in quality. Likely better than HD Lowes etc, but we bought a set from them about 6 years ago. The pieces under our covered patio are still holding up, but the chairs and table outside are complete garbage. The whiker on them is completely flaking away. I don't think the stuff inside has much longer left. If you don't plan on keeping the set much more than 5-10 years your likely fine with it, but otherwise, I'd suggest saving up for the really high quality stuff.

I have some faux wicker dining chairs from crate and barrel outlet that still look brand new, and I’ve had them more than ten years and leave them out uncovered year round.

Target faux wicker chairs in my front porch also look great , after about 8 years. Lowes/Home Depot tables have not lasted at all for varied reasons.
