My [extremely skinny, quite active] kids are hungry all the time!! OMG, we're going to run out of food very quickly. |
Yes and to make it seem worse, my kids ate breakfast and lunch at school with breakfast being free. So, I know they always ate a lot, but I didn't have to be the one to see it or make it and clean it up. |
Yes! So skinny. So many snacks. |
Yes!! But NOT skinny and I’ve had to put my foot down time after time. It’s making me sound mean, but... |
Same here. I feel terrible nagging about it, so I mostly don’t, but then I worry about too much snacking. |
I feel like I'm constantly making someone in this house something to eat. The stress and lack of control over this virus crap along with constantly being in and out of the kitchen is causing me to snack. I know I've gained weight.
Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and dh and I love to spend time with them but their calorie intake is a lot more than mine is and their schedules don't align so I'm doing the short order cook thing which was o.k. for a couple of weeks but not much more than that. |
Why not just stop buying unhealthy snacks? Then they can eat whatever they want! |
+1 As an added advantage, if your kid is like mine they're suddenly not so hungry if the only options are fruits and vegetables. So it cuts down on the continual snacking and meal prep. |
My DD5 loves snacks but I give limited options so if she is as hungry as she says, she will pick from the offered choices (fruit, nuts, cheese). I also ask her if she is bored and then try to engage her in another activity. It’s daunting to think we have 2 more months of this then summer break. Ugh! |
OP here - not my kids, fruits and vegetables are what they are eating!!! |
Yes!! She is writing down her snack request now on a post it for me! |
Yep and running the dishwasher constantly. It's mel's diner 24-7 |
Dd eats pistachios non stop. |
Yes 16 month son ALWAYS wants something
He says: “cheese, apple, milk” - then proceeds to open up my fridge getting food |
THIS! |
