Are anyone else's kids eating ALL THE TIME???

Yes, it's driving me crazy. I seem to be in the kitchen half of the day. Preparing food/ washing dishes and then repeat.

Yes and we are limiting snacks because we dont want to run out of food! My DH eats a lot too and i'm scraping together whatever leftovers i can find. It sucks.

Yup! Riding bikes all the time = hungry all day = sweeping all day.

The kid’s doing okay. DH OTOH, is constantly snacking. I finally told him to pretend he’s at the office, and to lock himself in the office, except for mealtimes.

My 3 year old asked for a snack. I told him to wait, we just ate lunch. He looked at me very seriously and said "But I need to eat all the time!"

Food is available for 3 meals and 2 snacks at our house. That's it. The 4 year old gets it as does DH. Routine and sticking to it and keeping busy is key. Most people are eating from boredom and stress. We also have a rul they eating is from a plate or bowl and sitting down. Otherwise dh would be wilding down peanut butter sandwiches standing by the sink and not even registering that he ate.

I'm loving the chance to feed up my super skinny kid (3rd % weight/25% height). Yesterday she started the day with a bowl of old fashioned oatmeal with butter and milk followed by a plate of hash browns, heavy on the butter. I'm making a baked good most days (cornbread/biscuits/popovers/mini muffins), three hot meals a day + snacks. [And in case you are worried, yes this is ped approved.]
