This is not the POI. But instead someone in proximity to the POI that police are trying to locate to speak to.

It would be laughable if it wasn’t such a mess. Now they are looking for someone who walked past the guy. Soon we’re gonna be searching for the cousin of the girlfriend of the roommate of someone who crossed the street near him.

I am no fan of how these people have been conducting the pressers for this horrible killing.
But, this guy is more than just someone who walked past the guy. The person of interest ran the other direction when he presumably saw this guy. So, I understand why they are seeking him. And, if this guy doesn't come forward on his own, it makes me question his involvement.

I believe there is a whole lot more going on with this investigation than we know about. It's just sad that the people who are holding these pressers are so incompetent at their jobs.
Remember it took weeks to identify the killer of the 4 students in Idaho.

Luigi had the curse of being an extremely attractive guy, with actual natural celebrity quality looks that always make people everywhere look at you twice

The lesson being that if you want to not be found, be chunky, nondescript, and the kind of person no one ever looks at twice.

Luigi Mangione was caught mainly because he was briefly caught on camera with his mask off. This guy doesn't seem to have made the same mistake. If he also wore extra layers of clothing to make himself look heavier and affected a fake limp that would make things even tougher. Theoretically they'd be able to trace the ammunition that he used.

This guy may actually be trained for this. There are allegedly people they are investigating who are on their radar; they just don't have enough to share with the public yet. The thing with the limp is, that is hard to fake for a prolonged period of time especially during the times he seems more anxious and moves rapidly. I do think he had things stuffed in front and as someone on here mentioned that would explain keeping hands behind back some of the time. He could still be stocky, just not that level of beer gut. Hopefully the airports are all on alert regarding anyone they suspect, but I am not sure how much they need to have to prevent someone from leaving the state or country. I think they know way more than they can share at this point. Also, while it's alarming, they have no footage of him in the building, I suspect they have enough footage outside the building to use some AI matching magic with the facial features and body you can see. They may even be able to match his gait to other footage of students and strangers walking around campus other days without masks. If this was someone who is not a student, I wouldn't be surprised if he visited the campus several times prior checking out the camera situation and layout.

I'm guessing this guy is local. If not he would have been spotted somewhere - a train or bus station, a gas station, a restaurant or grocery store.

I have actually had the same thought … that he could very well be local, and be able to blend right back into the community within a very short period of time.

Would be cool to have the 2013 FBI back

In addition, a local could have left his cell phone at home. Given all the video they have of him walking around there should be plenty of tower pings if he had a phone on him.

Especially if they had a phone that pinged at the time of the shootings at or around the location and then showed itself to be rapidly booking it straight out of RI, south, west, or north very shortly thereafter. On a Saturday.

I have to believe that there’s a lot that’s not being publicized about that aspect because if people like you and me and others on message boards are coming up with this idea then that’s not a great sign

As the title indicates - Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying and speaking to the individual shown in this photo who was in proximity of the person of interest.
