Everytime he talks he sounds terribly disingenuous and is overthinking "What can I say to sound as wise as possible to my audience?"

The only people still mad at McDaniel for ditching the Republican Party are bitter Republicans. Good job outing yourself. Even Herrity was saying nice things about this guy during the elections last time.

DP. What was Herrity supposed to say? "I had no idea I was hiring such a turn-coat opportunist who would do just about anything, including switching parties and annoucing that he is bisexual to help win a Democratic primary, to advance his own political career."

Point to anything McDaniel has actually accomplished or that hasn't served his own interests. It's revolting that he moved to the Oakton area and became a big advocate for boundary changes knowing that Oakton, with a recent big renovation, is unlikely to see the same upheaval as other areas.

Didn't one of the SB members now in the House also do that? Is that a "thing to do" now?

Bisexual (and gay, lesbian, transgender, and queer) people exist. I know it must be hard for you to realize this. But let’s not demand they stay locked in the closet. Okay?

So the privileged few should be allowed transfers when it suits them? I would think getting rid of that type of inequity would be one of the first action items of the review process.

It's that kind of purposeful reading of malice aforethought that makes people side eye this whole "equity" thing.

Nevertheless, I am in full support of this 100% Democrat school board going all in on it. The voting public chose them, and they would be wrong to back down.

Only a shill would say that when the school board purposely hid their intent to do the boundary review while they were running for office.

You’re a clown.

I used to fully support Fairfax County schools. Now with what they’re doing on the boundaries, I fully support this:

FCPS deserves nothing less.

Eh, he’s like a teenage girl who’s a lesbian for a year or two in high school because it’s fashionable. In his case he was just copying Laura Jane Cohen. Both are married, and one pities their spouses.

It’s not about his sexuality, it’s about his opportunism. He wanted a Fairfax Pride endorsement before the FCDC vote and then never brought it up again.

In any event, don’t look for him to demonstrate any independence or objectivity during the boundary review process. Every decision he makes is intended to curry favor with FCDC activists and advance his own political career.

He’s such a lightweight that he takes up very little space. Easily dismissed.

With DOGE, I’m bummed because once they break the system, it’ll be impossible to put back together.

It wouldn’t be impossible, just painful.

They are counting on people thinking that whatever they try to ram down people’s throats in the fall of 2026 (before the next election) can’t be reversed. It could be.

Of course, the time to stop them is now.

Name calling won’t help your cause. I used to think like you, but with these boundary changes looming I don’t support FCPS anymore.

This is being proposed at the federal level, so I’m not sure why you are telling me to suck it up. This is a very real possibility, despite your desire that it not be.

This law would have the "unintended" consequence of reduced donations to other charities/universities/nonprofits that do not have the favored tax treatment. It's not going to happen.

It might not happen, but I think you’re not really reading the moment if you categorically say it won’t happen.
