Why is Northeastern (NEU) so popular with both parents and students these days?

Northeastern's SAT score is impressive. Really odd that someone's biggest gripe about the school was it was a commuter college 50 years ago!

Agreed, it's baffling that people accuse NEU of gaming the system when they're literally investing billions into the school and the student body is on par with top 10. The acceptance rate of 3% is equally impressive.
