They have alot if talent in the 2025 and 2026 classes, multiple club players transferred there to play together. If they develop chemistry they will compete for titles the next two years. But, they have a reputation for how they behave on and off the field, so people like to jump on them quickly. Their talent level is deep though. |
He had a bad knee and was out. On a pitch count? Only plays in “big games”? Re-injury? Who knows, but they are different team without him. |
They're my big daddies❤️❤️heard they lay the hammer both on and off the field. |
No doubt. Injuries seem to be derailing Riverside and Madison early on this year. |
Wasn’t there controversy over an Indy girls player who transferred in to play with her travel friends and coach, but wasn’t allowed to play. Why are the rules different for boys than girls? |
Different situation. If you move into the school district it is fine. A girl was trying to get a waiver to play at Indy even though she didn’t live in the Indy district. |
If you elect to go to another school as you enter HS as a freshman, you can attend that school and play sports. If your transfer schools after having played sports for 1 school, the rule is that you have to sit out a whole school year. Waivers can be granted, and have been in the past, but that situation got out of control (IMHO) and LCPS is now denying more waiver requests than in years past, which is what happened with the girl who transferred.
I can't speak to every kid at Indy, but several kids who elected to attend Indy over their neighborhood HS, did so as freshman entering HS which is allowed. If they Transferred back, they would (in theory) have to sit out a year. |
Lines:
Hayfield (-15) v Lewis Langley (-10) v Herndon Alexandria (-3) v West Springfield Woodson (-3) v South County Chantilly (-3) v South Lakes Madison (-15) v Centreville Yorktown (-15) v Marshall Oakton (-9) v Westfield Robinson (-8) v West Potomac Lake Braddock (-4) v Fairfax |
It’s important to note that LCPS waivers differ from a VHSL waiver. The school district can grant a waiver, but VHSL governs all waivers for sports. So, acceptance of a waiver by a school does not guarantee a waiver in sports. |
These all look pretty reasonable to me. Robinson probably beats West Potomac by more than eight though. |
What a bunch of boring games |
Look for the statesmen to upset the patriots! |
Haha I don't see Yorktown scoring less than 20 and not sure Marshall will get a shot on goal. |
Marshall vs Yorktown is a good game if Yorktown leaves their 35+ upper classmen home waiting on Langley Monday and just plays their JV team. |
Head coach is an interesting dude that no one in the lacrosse community respects to include his own parents, opposing coaches, and refs alike. He has spent years building this reputation with his years coming up through Dulles South. |
