Taylor is way more successful and talented and giving, so I'm surprised she didn't have someone give out candy. You’re not getting it, they didn’t want people that close to the house. There’s some seriously deranged people out there stalking Taylor. She was in the house. Taylor and Travis have been so generous with fans since all this started going down. They don’t rush passed with sunglasses on, etc. they stop for pictures they react to fans, wave, say hello, Taylor is even taking pictures with people as she leaves a Stadium who weren’t in the suite, etc. so for people to legitimately get upset that they didn’t let people walk up to his personal home and get a piece of candy is quite ridiculous.

No one has to walk up to the house. An assistant can have candy on a table at the property’s edge.

I dint get the quibbling about the movie selling out. Obviously in many theaters around the country, it completely sold out. That is just a fact. An argument is dumb.

Did every theater sell out? No. Perhaps you weren’t aware that an every theater around here the movie was playing at least 20 times a day, about 15 minutes apart and every major theater. Of course every one of those showing wouldn’t sell out.

That’s like saying Barbie wasn’t very successful because you can probably purchase a ticket to see the movie, even though, of course, in the beginning, there were several sold out showings around the country.

Yes but in what universe would the press not be following her every move? Everything she does gets followed and scrutinize and amplified around because she is a huge celebrity. Unless she goes completely hermit mode her every move is going get reported on.

It just seems like people are pissed that she’s not completely becoming a hermit instead of acting like a young single woman actually dating someone. No one has made a cogent argument as to why TS would need to have an arranged relationship. She doesn’t need more fans, money, fame.

Well what she got from him was ads for her concert movie for free during nfl games. The relationship has also increased interest. I think that there is some confusion as to being in a fully fake arranged situation and having a probably casual-ish relationship that is monetized and utilized for other goals besides the relationship itself. Tons of celebrities do that all the time, Brangelina for example was a huge part of Brad and Angelina’s PR for a decade. I’d also put Kylie and Travis Scott there too and Drake and JLo.

Yes but in what universe would the press not be following her every move? Everything she does gets followed and scrutinize and amplified around because she is a huge celebrity. Unless she goes completely hermit mode her every move is going get reported on.

It just seems like people are pissed that she’s not completely becoming a hermit instead of acting like a young single woman actually dating someone. And yes, there is a reason she might date someone famous and not like, a government lawyer LOL. I just feel like she can’t win… Of course, she knows she’s being photographed. She’s going to control her image to a point, any one us would. I’m just not sure what we expect of her besides, just going away and killing herself I guess.

I’ve been thinking about parasocial relationships since someone mentioned them here. TS benefits from making her fans feel like they are her friends and like all fans are in this “club.” It feels good to be part of something. The cost of this is the swarms that follow her. She profits from it and is also beholden to it.

Do you guys think she stopped dating Healy due to fan reactions? If so, that’s wild. If that is true, then she’s not entirely free despite being a billionaire.
