What poll says that? Trump is ahead in all of the key battleground states in a New York Times poll. |
Yeah, that’s the poll I’m referencing. Open it up and look at some of the assumptions they’re making; ask yourself if it seems logical. Then read the accompanying article and ask yourself why they only spoke to Republicans and had the audacity to call them Democrats. In other words: I wouldn’t put much stock in that poll and if I were you I wouldn’t try to pretend like the GOP hasn’t lost on abortion and isn’t still obsessed with it. |
I agree, but the Democratic Party today is conservative especially when compared with conservatives like Nixon and Reagan. What we need is a liberal part that is less corporate. |
Unless we keep democracy, we aren’t ever getting a third party.
I would vote green exclusively in ever election, but I am a pragmatist. We have to stabilize democracy and build more grass roots up on green - or liberal less corporate. Obama and Clinton made the mistake of ignoring the ground game….which gave us voter suppression via GOP Secretary of States and Trump. Pay attention to ground game - vote liberal less corporate/green/abortion rights/voters rights - and make sure the top ticket is going to protect democracy not embrace authoritarianism. Let’s do bottom up and top down and squeeze the hell out of the GOP and whatever else the GOP wants to call itself- “No Labels.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-says-on-univision-he-could-weaponize-fbi-doj-against-his-enemies/ar-AA1jG6NC |
And (PP) go Ohioans and Virginians -
Tell your elected officials what’s what. And ps to Kansas - thanks for starting the electoral haunting of the GOP on Dobbs decision. |
The green party, as it turns out, has generally been a Koch-funded astro turn campaign. That is how we ended up with Jill Stein and Krysten Sinema. |
With the exception of Michigan, Trump is also leading in every swing state according to the Bloomberg poll. Abortion is a state issue not a national one. The Supreme Court has decided. If the Republicans decide to emphasize a get out the vote strategy in 2024, Biden is toast. It is time to look at other options like Manchin. |
Trump is a proven loser and already lost to Biden. Please run him as the gop candidate. So many people are going to stand there with the ballot and choose trump even after covid and overturning roe and January 6th and multiple international conflicts brewing. That will surely happen. Lol. |
This is the kind of thinking that got Trump elected in 2016, Roe overturned, an insurrection, etc. Trump won in the Rust Belt and he can do so again. You can mock him and his supporters and risk losing the country or maybe actually think about the best way to defeat him in 2024. Biden is not going to be able to campaign from his basement. He does not connect with voters; Trump still does. They will be excited to vote for him. Biden does not have a base of support and the Obama coalition may not be there for him again. |
"his voters" is a much smaller group today than it was in 2020, much less 2016.
Most Americans are actually smarter than that. |
This country won't elect a competent female. Dems got wise. They will go with a moderate, pro choice male and win. Trump is a forced birther and a forced birther has no chance in 2024. They will try desperately with third party candidates and voter suppression and other nonsense but the GOP will fail. They made their bed |
The Supreme Court did not “leave it up to the states.” Read the decision - it left it up to “the people and their representatives.” That language totally allows for a national ban. In fact you all lost the Senate last year in part because Lindsey Graham was all out and proud promoting a national 15-week ban. |
At least until we once again have a legitimate court that is more in touch with mainstream American values and ideals. |
This country will absolutely elect a female. What's with the blatant sexism? Content of character matters much more than gender or skin color in 2023. Maybe not in your household, but your bigotry is no longer the norm. |
That Hillary Clinton lost the electoral vote to Donald Trump says that there is still enough misogyny that people are able to have their brains easily hacked. She was in a different universe of qualified from the traitorous rapist and failed businessman Donald. No Labels exists as a failsafe for the failing GOP. Their ideas are ridiculously unpopular and their strongest voters are slowly dying off, a generational process that was sped along by covid and its primary and secondary effects. |
