Weight Loss update! (Following up on #1 "NY Resolution" thread in Off Topic)

Anonymous
Folks, back in "Off Topic," the #1 new year's resolution among posters was lose some weight. Mine, too.

So it's been a week and almost a half now. Three pounds down, 20-30 to go. Portion control is looking good, thanks go www.fitday.com logs, though fitting in exercise is still a challenge.

How are my weight-loss resulution com-p/madres doing?

2 lbs down, 28 to go. Eating much better and drinking LOTS of water. No real exercise yet. Need to find time to use that embarrasingly expensive elliptical at home.

What? You guys already lost weight? I haven't yet, although I admit I haven't really tried yet.

good job! Don't fall off the horse come Feb, as many resolutioners give up around then.

Started WW in September. Resolution was to continue until I hit goal. I am still on track with no weight gain during the holidays. Down 30 with another 8 or so to go.

I just started WW last week. Glad to hear it is working for you! So far I am not finding it so hard and I don't feel too hungry. Lost 3 lbs. last week - 25 more to go.

Woot woot!

OP, here. I've kicked nutritional/athletic ass in the past, and know how it's done. It's done by changing habits, and sticking to it almost every day! I am inspired.

Also started WW back in Aug after DC2 was born. Did great for a while but bc of slacking I have been at a plateau with 30-40 lbs left to lose.

Got back on track this week and lost 2lbs.

Just started training for a sprint triathalon, so hopefully that is the kick in the a$$ I need to get moving and back to my pre-baby clothes.

WW since september too- total loss, 20.2 pounds. I still have 15 to go and hope to do that by late April. I needed a jumpstart as I have been plateaued since the holidays and have started planning my meals ahead of time which seems to help a lot. Tracking was getting me down but now I am tracking on the list I make, and then transferring it into the online site 1 time a day. That's my little hint for the day...

What sprint triathalon are you doing? I am looking for a good one!

Lost almost two pounds so far, only started beginning of last week. Portion control is the name of the game for me. Can't believe how many calories I was consuming prior to being more watchful. Truly alarming.

WW totally rocks. I did it after #2 and I have lost about 50 lbs and am in the best shape of my life. I'm back in my size 6 jeans!! WOOOO HOOOO!

21:20 here. I went shopping today and for the first time in 10 years, I bought jeans in a single digit size. And, I can fit into my favorite dress from 10 years ago. Don't know why I even kept the dress, but I can't wait until spring to wear it. Yeah for WW.

OP, here. Four pounds down now. I'd like to lose at least two more by the end of Jan and that'll be a serious push.

Exercising 3-4 days a week, usu a walk/run of approx 3 to 3.5 miles.

I really do just have to commit to not overeating every single day. There are so many "just this once" opportunities to overdo it! Especially since I married someone who makes strudel, pasta, and bourgignon (which I cannot spell) and offers to pour wine almost every night.

Thank god he's been on work travel several days this month.
