Clinics shutting down

Anonymous
Anyone having trouble reaching SGF, it took many calls today to finally reach a human? Once I did get through to the Rockville office they said all services are going forward, despite ASRM recommendations to delay FET's. I'm scared to move ahead with transfer, what if something goes wrong and I can't get in for monitoring?

I am with SGF and have my lining check tomorrow with FET anticipated for next Wednesday -- I am relieved to hear they are moving forward. Until there are recommendations about couples not conceiving naturally at home, I am not worried. I understand and respect your views -- you would think they would just offer consumer choice, but I guess they aren't?

anyone have any updates on clinic closures?

no updates yet from SGF... won't be surprised if they shut down eventually but the hospital affiliated clinics like GW will probably shut down first

CFA is still business as usual

SGF is all about money, they don't care about patients!

If SGF offered a choice to patients, and they accepted the risks, why would SGF be in fault? For some of us it gets more and more difficult to conceive and can’t wait months to try again.

It's disgusting. Morally repellent.

Have people been told generally not to TTC right now? Those who don’t use ART. No. So what exactly is morally wrong here. F you

They are using supplies and PPE that could be used to protect high-risk front-line health care providers from coronavirus. That’s the issue. Like it or don’t like it, but it’s a real issue.

OBs use those supplies too. So either stop pregnancy all together or don’t

I'd really recommend against going forward. A pregnancy would immediately put you in a high risk group for dying from the coronavirus. Wait it out.

How did you come up with this conclusion? There’s no evidence that suggests covid-19 negatively impacts pregnant women. Not even infants.

Must I just accept I cannot have children of my own because medical supplies used to conceive a child is wasteful and medical supplies used to save a 60-year old person who had been overeating and smoking is not wasteful? What exactly is so morally repellent?
