Clinics shutting down

We're deciding not to TTC naturally at this time. The increased risks are not worth it. Will reassess at the end of summer.

You miss all the shots you don’t take and egg reserve doesn’t get any better

Morally repugnant: gay ladies, you can’t start families now. Anyone dealing with infertility, you’re out too. Everyone else go forth and reproduce. I really think this is the wrong forum to tell people to wait it out.

It's disgusting. Morally repellent.

Must I just accept I cannot have children of my own because medical supplies used to conceive a child is wasteful and medical supplies used to save a 60-year old person who had been overeating and smoking is not wasteful? What exactly is so morally repellent?

NP here: sweet Jesus I’m rooting against you ever getting pregnant. Hate to think of the values you’d bring into our society.

And yes. That might be what it means, you repugnant monster.

People who already exist have value. Their lives mean more than our hopes and dreams. Sorry.

Not the person who wrote this, but, NP, get over yourself and your holier-than-thou attitude. Sounds like a case of the pot calling the kettle black and a philisophical debate that can take place without name calling and ad hominem attacks. It's a time to be kind to one another, not to tell other people (even strangers on the internet!!??) that their values are morally repugnant.

I dunno, PP was deploying the “useless eater” strategy to argue that her theoretical baby had more right to existence than a living 60-year-old, so... That was pretty gross.

NP here and YES that is exactly what you should accept. Actual lives are at stake here. Hope you don’t share these values with your children. Maybe if you lose a loved one you’ll take it seriously.

Anyone know what CFA is doing?

Just heard from my doc at CFA. They are currently discussing how to move forward. They are operating as normal for now but that may change and they’re recommending new cycles be put on pause because of social distancing and also because it’s not yet clear how the virus affects pregnant women.

So I guess... if you can wait, do, but if you can’t wait, set up something ASAP before they change their minds.
