anyone waiting for UVA and William & Mary?

Anonymous
Both schools always state April 1 as the deadline for notification, but almost every year they are early. Hoping that the post end of day Friday (that would be similar to previous years).
We all know there are still a lot of unknowns about the entering freshman/ first years, but it would be nice to at least have the decision on acceptance one way or the other.

And before anyone jumps in and says it will be delayed, neither school has said their schedule for admission decisions was impacted. Only the on campus visits/events.

Thanks, PP! I had checked the blog the morning, and didn't see an update then!
Good luck to everyone!

Interesting. Did you mean one of those "likely" postcards, or a full acceptance? Everything I've seen says the ED1 and ED2 decisions have come out, and some kids got those "likely" postcards, but nothing about Regular Decision.

ED2? My kid got a likely letter but that's it. We are waiting on UVA for one kid and W&M on both. One kid rejected EA UVA and one kid deferred. With their 8% deferral acceptance rate, not hopeful.

A real acceptance. Maybe because it included a presidential scholarship?

Not ED or EA - just regular.

I'm guessing it's because of the scholarship. That's awesome. Congratulations (again!)

Yep. We've got a deferred kid in this house, too, and we also are thinking that we're going to see a "no". Ah well, other great school options out there!

Son got in after being deferred after EA. I figured (and more importantly he figured) that deferral meant rejection. He has to reconfigure his decision making process now. He’s at TJ and got straight A’s first semester with a pretty tough courseload. I’m guessing that made the difference.

RD William and Mary here and DS heard nothing yet...

Unfortunately, W & M does not have EA. You either do RD or ED, and ED is binding. (DD is ED2; hoping there will be a fall semester; I am just glad that of her college savings, 15K was in a savings account).
