If schools are closed till September will everyone pass with an A's??
what its going to happen to the cdc is reporting to closed school down for at least 8 weeks, then means kids will return in May, and to play it safe kids are going to want to play it "safe" and go back in Septmeber, of course they will start an other changed.org petition and they won't go back to the fall. should they have free summer school classes for kids who are willing to go if everything is better by then? |
There is literally nothing that can be done about all these scenarios now. We have to wait to see what social distancing means and how effective it is and where the curve ends up. |

link i was talking about school might closed for more than 8 weeks, so they might just reopen in september |
Who cares. Give everybody an NA. |
The education of the children is not the biggest concern right now. University kids close to getting degrees - we might want to finish those. But K-11 or K-12 is not the biggest concern right now. The entire world is in this boat, it will be okay. |
Why would they all get A’s? |
TWITTER because change.org on Thursday they started doing that and it worked, so why not do it for grades. |
What? |
This. Everyone will be in the same boat, here and all over the country. |
All over the world. |
I’m not really all that concerned about my 3rd and 5th graders.
I would be more concerned in high school and college. |
The governor of Ohio suggested this morning on CNN it was entirely possible there that kids would not be back in school until the fall.
Ohio--California--Virginia--we're all facing the same questions, concerns, problems. I doubt anything is off the table at this point. Buckle up, everybody, it's sure to be a wild ride. |
It wouldn’t work to just use quarter or semester grades as final grades in high school because only final grades show on a transcript and most teachers start the kids out low and raise their grades throughout the year. They call it a trend or showing progress. If they stopped right now, my sons grades would be significantly lower than they would be at the end of the year. |
It's one semester/year that will be the same for everyone. Your DS isn't worse off than everyone else. |
Just restart the school year for everyone in September. |
