Men is it OK for women to say I love you first?

Men, are you freaked out if a woman says I love you first?

It was a long time ago but given my personality I’m sure my now wife said it first. She would say that getting me to say it was like pulling teeth. She has trained me well and I say it freely and daily without provocation! When we were dating she did some things (non-sexual) that you would only do if you loved someone even if I thought she was nuts.

Like what? I mean ... What things show you that she loves you without sex being involved?

How old are you OP, 6?

What a dumb question...

Agree. This question is ridiculous and ultra sexist.

Don’t be in a hurry to say it.
He might say I care about you.

After a terrible 10 day business trip she found out from my company’s travel dept. what flight I’d be returning on from Europe and when I was in the baggage area she was standing there smiling. It was a good 90 minutes to get to the airport. That was a good clue!

I did it first. We were in the middle of an argument and it just slipped out. He was really happy and relieved actually.

That is so sweet. If a guy did that for me I’d get the message.

It’s not the 1800’s where I live.

I think women saying it first is the norm now. I’ve had to say it first in my last few relationships. If I didn’t, they probably never would have said it.

Yes, that's nice.
My DH said ILY first, and did things like that for me, as well. I think it's a personality thing, not a M-F thing.

You had your chance on Sadie Hawkins/Leap Day but you blew it. Now you have to wait 4 years.

I am a guy who said it first just a few month after meeting her. We were having sex, perfect time to say it while looking at her holding her knees behind her ears.

They almost always do say it first, in my experience. I don't think it's wrong to say it first, but it is wrong to say it too soon. And they usually do that too.
