Competitive swimming summer 2020

My 16 year old nephew from Europe is visiting this summer. I am told he is a very good swimmer and would like to find a group to train with over the summer in DC. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

Some of the public pools have swim teams. Except the elite teams/groups, many of the regular swim programs shut down over the summer.

NCAP.

I think it would be hard to get a spot on NCAP for 8 weeks. They normally require an 11 month contract.

Summer swim teams are designed for the summer. I would not bother looking into year round programs, which generally require try outs, contracts, etc. Just find a summer team.

Sea Devils train at Wilson, but it is an 11-month program that goes into summer. You could call and ask though.

Also MVP Dolphins train at GW off of Foxhall, and that is a summer team that doesn't require a pool membership.

Yes, you just pay slightly more for non-residence. Otherwise, go to a DC public outdoor pool.

There is also a team at the Wheaton Glenmont pool - Glenmont Gators. Bethesda and Rockville Public always rank very well.

If he is at a serious club in Europe, at the age of 16 he won't be particular excited about summer team workouts that are 1 hr long. His club has to contact similar by level groups in DC to have them accommodate him for the summer so he can continuously train. What are his times by USA Swimming standards?
