| Grabs the popcorn as moms and dads get ready to trash other clubs, coaches, tournaments, associations, and leagues, question the ranking methodology, and report scores from all matches and friendlies over the last 12 months. |
| why no VDA or BRYC? |
Because it's only the top 100. |
| If DA is so great, where is Baltimore Armour and Metro United. |
| Stupid thread. Here we go. |
|
I am surprised that Pipeline is at the bottom.
McLean is pretty far down the list given that there last two u18/19 teams either won or finished in 2nd place in national finals. How is Loudoun ranked so high? |

Lol, I wondered how long it would take for somone to gripe sbout pipeline just squeaking in. |
Fair question about Pipeline. The club has three teams above u15 that are ranked in the top 10 nationally and they have the Armour DA. |
They don’t publish any methodology on how they generate these rankings. I suspect there is quite a bit of editorial ‘tweaking’. Ultimately, it comes across as clickbait. To be fair, almost all of the stuff on that site is just republished press releases. |
They talk about their method in their podcast. |
Only generally. In fact, I seem to recall them discussing how they kept changing criteria so that the rankings came out the way they wanted. If they want to be taken seriously, publish the methodology. Every credible ranking approach (e.g. US News, WSJ, SI) at least publish how they came to their ranking. (even if you disagree). |
| I thought it was based on the number of YNT call ups. Isn't that how they did the boys? |
| I think it’s based upon how much advertising clubs buy on the site. |
