I have an event in Baltimore in March and I was thinking I'd make a weekend of it with my family. Can anyone recommend a fun hotel for a family of 4? Indoor pool would be great, but happy to trade that off for a great location, view, or unique feature of the hotel. I haven't been to Baltimore in over a decade and haven't taken kids ever so happy for any recommendations. Affordability is a plus. |
We stayed at the Marriott Harborplace. Convenient to the aquarium, boat rides, and Miss Shirley's for breakfast. |
stayed at the Four Seasons, it was excellent, great service, and, TV in the bathroom mirror. Kinda cool

The 4 seasons is pricey but it’s surprisingly family friendly (I think kids get a gift basket etc?).
Great rooftop pool as well but probably not open yet. |
We stayed at the Homewood Suites near Inner Harbor this past weekend Giant gym attached to the hotel with pool and nice free breakfast.
Not fancy by any means, but who needs fancy? |
The Harbor Court has an indoor pool. It's right on the Inner Harbor. |
I was just looking at hotels for a quick little get away with my two kids as well. Definitely into free breakfast and maybe a pool (though once they know it's there, we would do anything else?).
Thanks for the recs. I couldn't find a pool listed on the Homewood suites website though.... |
It's attached, via a hallway, to a commercial gym with a pool (MAC). You just have to show the font desk people your ID and room key. https://www.harboreast.com/businesses/the-mac/ |
Awesome, thank you! |
Kimpton |
Not affordable but would recommend Sagamore Pendry or Four Seasons.
The Harbor has no fencing which freaks me out - not sure how young your kids are but be careful. |
The four seasons in baltimore is the worst four seasons I've ever stayed at. Definitely a different crowd than the usual. |
Haha, yeah. Starting price for 4 people is $743/night. Thanks for the tip about the Harbor though. |
OP here. Thanks to everyone who chimed in. Kimpton is looking like the best option so far.
And boy did I have a moment of sticker shock that it's about $150 for a family of 4 to go to the aquarium! If anyone knows how to get a discount, would love that info... |
Friday nights after 5 are half price. And don’t go to Miss Shirleys, it is gross and overpriced. The only reason people go there is because of the press it gets Diners Drive Ins and Dives etc. |
