Hotel recommendations for weekend in Baltimore

The Renaissance harbor place has an indoor pool.

And yeah during the winter you can get into the aquarium cheaper after 5 on Friday. With kids that age I’d just go to the Science center though

Science center is cheap either and is kind of run down.

Royal Sonesta is reasonable and has a fine indoor pool. Also it’s directly opposite the Science Center. Groupon family membership is a great value.

I think the science center is in great shape. My kids loved it at all ages.

Bumping as we are contemplating a night or two away over winter break. Has anyone stayed at the Hyatt Inner Harbor or a similarly-priced hotel near the Inner Harbor?

As to meals, we would get takeout from Little Italy and/or Phillips and eat at the hotel. I remember a great cannoli place in Little Italy as well. Any other recommendations? Popular restaurants, I hope, have not closed and offer takeout like in DC?

Is the aquarium or science center even open?

Are indoor hotel pools open these days?

I like Miss Shirleys because it has a lot of food that nobody else around has. Love me some fried green tomatoes!

Phillips’s is beyond nasty.

Four Seasons or the Baltimore Pendry

I'm not a fan of any of the big hotels near the Harbour - that whole area is dead right now. Many of the shops and chain restaurants have gone out of business. Fells Point (where the Sagamore is located) is a better choice and far more charming, but those prices are nuts. It is a beautiful hotel, though. Hotel Revival by the Walter in Mt Vernon is a smaller, recently redone hotel in an old historic building with a lot of style and charm. Also, the Ivy Hotel - on E Biddle - is beautiful.

We always stay at the Hotel Monaco (Kimpton) because they have bunk bed suites (two rooms-- one with bunk beds, the other with two queens) and you can get an xbox in the room. Plus free happy hour wine for adults (not sure if that is happening in covid).
