Nevermind - there was some little clip where i thought it looked so much better - I’m usually the biggest critic of her harsh unflattering blonde - when I clicked on the actual interview it looked the same as ever.

I am still blown away how this thread is so long. I have never heard of her.

I too was hoping for some more discussion on the Ivey situation. I guess there’s not much more to know right now. Praying for those kids. 3/4 are boys and 3/4 are adopted.

No updates on the Iveys. Jamie was my little sister's youth group leader and my parents are friends with her parents, and everyone has basically gone underground. I think she was blindsided by this and I'm sure there's a lot of grief and trauma being processed right now. There's no way you don't second-guess everything that's happened over the last 15 years and wonder if any of it was real at this point.

I hope for the best for them, especially the kids. They're all high school and college age so they absolutely know what's going on, there's no shielding them.

Between this, the revelation of cover-ups at the highest level among Southern Baptists of sexual predators in the denomination--often youth pastors--and the Camp Kanakuk (I might be spelling that wrong) revelations, I think a lot of people are feeling deeply disillusioned. My parents are lifelong Souther Baptists, and I mean Sunday school teachers, deacon, missionaries, the whole nine--and my mom recently said in despair "is there anyone left we can trust?" My dad said "I don't know, but <7-year-old grandson> can't go to Christian camp." That is HUGE. Seeing my nephew go to Christian camp would have been my dad's dream at one point, and now he's like nope, not worth the risk.

What happened with the Iveys? I am out of the loop.

Austin Stone Community Church, a multicampus evangelical church in Austin, Texas, announced on Sunday that it had dismissed its head worship pastor after discovering he had engaged in “inappropriate and explicit ongoing text messages with an adult male,” according to a statement from the church’s elders. From Christianity Today article....

It wasn't just one male recently. It was a period of several years, and many male victims including underage one.

Why are so many husbands of the Christian Mommy Blogoshere privately total creeps?

They’re Christian MEN. They’re supposed to be the MAN. Yet the womens are overshadowing them. Not RIGHT. But the menfolk don’t wanna lose the benefits the womens bring them so they lash out privately instead. Of course, everything comes to light eventually.

I think the sort of people who gravitated towards this sort of “fame” are shallow, ambitious, fake, social climber types who lack the normal moral guardrails of restraint, true wisdom, and sober mindedness.

The reality have no moral core despite what they proclaim apart from whatever gets them more famous and makes them money.

If 2010 Jen could see 2024 Jen would she be pleased and proud or would she be horrified and distraught?

Every time she posts a video with Big Sass it seems so fake-ity fakey fake - she’s always touching him in a way that seems posed and unnatural and her whole demeanor changes to become even more fawning and performative than usual and they seem so scripted even compared to her usual videos (which are also terrible)

Add to that the clergy sexual abuse being uncovered at IHOPKC with Mike Bickle, and the many, many, many stories of improper sexual conduct/r*pe that were covered up by leadership. All of this is coming to light right now.

She has a close-up in her stories of waiting at the gate in the airport and those eyebrows definitely look tatted. But the hair looks toned and the skin not as red, so...?
