Tiffany jewelry - yay or nay

I have a gift card and am in my late 20s. Will I look tacky wearing something from there to work?

They have very regular looking pieces. No one will know that you are wearing a Tiffany’s piece. I have a pearl necklace and pearl earrings. Unless you look at the clasp you wouldn’t know. My husband bought me a Tiffany’s diamond necklace for Christmas. No one would know. I wish he hadn’t spent the money for Tiffany’s please.

Way over priced in my opinion.

Every other jewelry maker imitates every one else so the pieces from Tiffanys aren't really distinctive. I would go find something I like from Tysons Watch and Jewelry Exchange. I agree with a pp, Tiffany is ovYuerpriced and it's just sterling.

Guys. She has a GIFT CARD to Tiffany's, so she needs to buy something from Tiffany's. I am also not a big fan and think they're overpriced, but I don't think suggestions to look at other jewelry stores are helpful when she has a gift card in hand.

OP, how much is the gift card for? I don't love Tiffany's, but could certainly find something nice and not tacky there if you need to spend it.

Don't get something that screams Tiffanys. Then it won't be tacky.

The stuff is generally overpriced, so if you don't really see anything you or doesn't fit in the budge, there are gift card exchange websites

You will only look tacky if you buy something tacky. Tiffany has plenty of tacky pieces but it also has plenty of stunning pieces. FYI: generally the tacky stuff is readily recognizable on high school and college girls and is sterling silver.

If it was my gift card, I’d get a Save the Wild lion pendant. But that’s mainly for sentimental reasons.

I’m also loving the Spessartite Firefly, but that would have to be one heck of a gift card.

What is your budget? Do you have to spend it yourself, or do you have a Tiffany loving friend who would buy it off you for a discount?

Very classic jewelry, you can find something simple and elegant.

+1
Just don’t get the tacky crap like their T jewelry. Who’s buying that?

thanks all!
it is for $150 (I got it in a very strange way - long story). I am thinking maybe the bean necklace or the initial one. My high school self is telling me to get one of the 'return to Tiffany' pieces, but I am assuming that is the 'tacky crap' referenced above

Everything you just mentioned is tacky.

Pick out a pendant you like. I have a bunch of pendants that are not instantly recognizable as Tiffany but I get compliments on. The vine, pearl tassel, teardrop are all nice.

While I personally like some of the sterling jewelry, they also have tons of great home goods. I might get champagne flutes or a pitcher with that budget.

Bean necklace is cheesy and dated.
